One of the most fulfilling parts of the film-making process is the storyboarding stage.

Translating a script into a visual narrative carries unique creative challenges and surprises. Each scene asks for the consideration of theme, mood, pacing, staging, acting, emotion + more. Calibrating the right narrative tone to convey to the audience a particular emotion or piece of information.

The following are two brief selections of moments from a project in development at Fox's former Blue Sky Studio. With minimal design and no screenplay, the creative challenge was to convey a sense of the story and world for both films, and paint a picture of the complete narrative.
